Job summary

WSP is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Permitting Specialist to join our Mine Environment team in a full-time role, with a preference for a Nevada location. You will support permitting, data collection, and field programs for mining projects, collaborating with senior specialists and clients across the United States.

Ideal candidates bring 3–10 years of experience in natural resources and permitting, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven report-writing skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Biology, or related field required.
  • 3–10 years of professional experience in natural resources, permitting, or related field.
  • Understanding of state and federal regulatory mining regulations and NEPA.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment and delivering reports on time.

Responsibilities

  • Support mining projects with data collection, interpretation, permitting support, baseline studies, and remediation.
  • Develop proposals related to mine permitting projects.
  • Deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
  • Design, plan, and execute field programs for clients.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate data into environmental assessments and permit applications.
