Job summary

The role requires supervisory experience, a mining-related degree or equivalent, strong budgeting and safety knowledge, and the ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech. The position may involve non-standard schedules in a 24/7 operation with housing support offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with seven years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical mining-related discipline with three years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Additional certifications or licensure may be required.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures.
• Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules.
• Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning.
• Ensure adherence to safety and operating procedures and compliance with applicable laws.
• Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained.
• Coordinate daily with Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales.
• Directly supervise first-line or shift supervisors.
• Perform other duties as required.
