Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Senior Supervisor Mill Maintenance to lead a shift in our Bagdad operation. You will oversee a team, coordinate maintenance and production plans, and ensure safe, efficient plant performance in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline and three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and control safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors.
• Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules.
• Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning.
• Adhere to safety and operating procedures and comply with federal and state laws and regulations.
• Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained.
• Coordinate daily with Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales teams.
• Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors.
• Perform other duties as required.
