Job summary

P&C Recruiting and HR is seeking a Senior Mine Geologist for a copper-focused open pit operation in the United States. The role emphasizes building and validating 3D geological models, resource estimation, and integration with mine planning.

You will lead QA/QC of geological data, prepare technical reports, support annual reporting, and collaborate with engineers to optimize designs. A decade of experience in mining geology and proficiency with Leapfrog Geo or MineSight is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive mining geology experience.
• Significant experience in open pit copper operations.
• Proficiency in resource estimation and geological modeling.
• Experience with drilling methods and QA/QC of exploration data.
• Strong knowledge of geostatistics and block modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and validate 3D geological and resource models.
• Interpret lithological, structural, alteration, and mineralization data from drilling programs.
• Conduct resource estimation and classification using geostatistical techniques and industry best practices.
• Prepare mineral resource updates and support reserve conversion activities.
• Maintain geological databases and QA/QC of data.
• Support annual and life-of-mine resource reporting.
