Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Mine Closure Project Manager to lead complex mine closure and remediation programs in the Western United States. The role requires nearly 20 years of consulting experience, technical expertise in mine closure, and strong leadership to mentor teams and grow the business.

You will oversee regulatory engagement, design through closure, and collaboration with engineers and SMEs, while ensuring safety, schedule, and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences, Civil, Environmental, Mining, or related field.
• Master’s degree in a related discipline is preferred.
• PE/PG or equivalent licensure in a Western U.S. mining jurisdiction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine closure programs from investigation to feasibility through design, remediation and closure.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and sustainability across projects.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across hydrogeology, geotechnical, environmental science, and remediation engineering.
• Engage clients and regulators to align project objectives and expectations.
• Oversee risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and change control to protect margins.
