Job summary

KBR’s MILSATCOM and NC3 programs at Peterson Space Force Base, CO seek a Senior Sustainment Systems Engineer to lead SEIT activities and maintain complex space and ground communications. This 100% onsite role requires engagement with DoD stakeholders and experience in MILSATCOM/NC3 systems.

You will work in a collaborative IPT, apply CMMI, manage baselines, and travel up to 20%. Basic compensation is $110,000–$138,000 in Colorado.

Qualifications

• Active DoD SECRET clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, CS or equivalent.
• 5 years SE&I experience in system acquisitions and/or O&S.
• Knowledge of Agile software development (Jira/Confluence).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective interpersonal and team-player skills.
• Clear and concise written, verbal communications and presentations.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.

Responsibilities

• Engage government and corporate stakeholders to deliver results.
• Provide senior-level critical thinking and problem solving; drive resolutions.
• Coordinate with DoW agencies and industry for mission-focused outcomes.
• Learn and apply SEIT processes for MILSATCOM and NC3 O&S activities.
• Develop, analyze and maintain SE documentation to align with mission objectives.
• Apply CMMI frameworks and DoW best practices in program operations.
• Travel up to 20% to CONUS/OCONUS locations as directed.
