Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior Sustainment Systems Engineer to support SSC PMO at Peterson Space Force Base, CO.

The role focuses on on-site leadership of SEIT activities for MILSATCOM and NC3 systems, driving execution and collaboration across government and industry teams. You will handle requirements, documentation, and integration activities, apply CMMI and agile practices, and ensure readiness of legacy and transitioning space systems.

Qualifications

• Active DoW SECRET clearance required for consideration.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or equivalent.
• 5 years SE&I experience in system acquisitions and/or O&S.
• Requirements development and documentation expertise for SEIT.
• Knowledge of Agile software development processes (Jira/Confluence).
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Engage government and industry stakeholders to deliver results.
• Provide senior-level critical thinking and problem solving to the customer.
• Coordinate with DoW agencies and commercial partners for mission-focused outcomes.
• Learn and apply government SEIT processes to MILSATCOM and NC3 O&S activities.
• Develop and maintain system engineering documentation and capability requirements.
• Apply CMMI frameworks and DoW acquisition best practices to program offices.
• Travel up to 20% to CONUS/OCONUS locations as directed.
