Job summary

Caliola Engineering is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support MILSATCOM and Protected MILSATCOM capabilities. You will ensure reliability, interoperability, and evolution of critical systems, working across architectures and cryptographic components to support mission success.

You will provide hands-on technical guidance, coordinate with government and international partners, and analyze system modifications for feasibility and operational impact.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Expert-level MILSATCOM knowledge including AEHF, Milstar, COMSEC.
• Experience providing senior-level technical guidance, analysis, and recommendations.
• Ability to travel up to 30% for program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own MILSATCOM and Protected MILSATCOM systems engineering and integration activities.
• Manage priorities across technical support, testing, field support, and customer requirements.
• Serve as trusted technical resource to Government Chief Engineer and stakeholders.
• Evaluate issues and support senior-level programmatic decisions.
• Provide expert guidance, sustainment support, and troubleshooting for complex issues.
• Support interoperable AEHF capabilities with international partners and coalition stakeholders.
• Analyze architectures, cryptographic requirements, data flows, and modifications for interoperability.
• Plan system integration, testing, verification, and validation of capabilities.
• Develop and maintain cryptographic architectures and test assets.
• Conduct site surveys and provide recommendations for design, readiness, and requirements.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to operators at CONUS/OCONUS locations.
