Job summary

nLogic seeks a Senior Sustainment Systems Engineer to support a MILSATCOM PMO at Peterson Space Force Base, CO. Lead sustainment for legacy and evolving MILSATCOM systems, including ground infrastructure and warfighter terminals, in a collaborative, small-team environment.

The role focuses on systems engineering, integration, and test across space and ground segments, with strong emphasis on requirements, verification, and agile collaboration with DoD customers.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Clearance required to be considered for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with DoD or military clients and managing professional relationships.
• 4+ years of experience in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment.
• 5+ years in architecture/requirements/analysis, acquisitions, engineering/design, fielding/integration, and verification or analysis.
• 4+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• 4+ years of relevant systems integration experience.
• 4+ years engaging government customers to advance projects through engineering management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organized, able to multi-task and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides MILSATCOM systems engineering advisory assistance to the government customer for sustainment activities.
• Engages the Joint space warfighting community, supporting sustainment tasks through space systems engineering processes.
• Evaluates and produces technically rigorous analyses and documents.
• Assists with technology readiness assessments and identifies risks with proposed technologies.
• Supports waiver, deviation and deficiency reviews and system allocations.
• Conducts system/enterprise level engineering analysis to identify sustainment gaps and mitigation options.
• Performs engineering analysis on organizational processes and suggests improvements.
• Supports sustainment objectives and decision support across meetings and forums.
• Performs studies of military missions to assess integration, system-of-systems factors, and mission assurance.
