Job summary

Aerotek seeks experienced Millwrights for a major industrial construction project in the Phoenix area. You will install, align, and commission heavy machinery and tanks, with emphasis on precise leveling and safe rigging of large components.

We value hands-on trades professionals who can read blueprints, troubleshoot, and support welding and fabrication as needed. Long hours and overtime are common on this long-term project with potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Millwright experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or mechanical environments.
• Proven experience installing and aligning industrial equipment, machinery, and tanks.
• Strong rigging experience and ability to safely handle large machinery and heavy components.
• Working knowledge of precision alignment, anchoring, and equipment setup procedures.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Basic welding experience preferred.
• Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding industrial environments.
• Reliable transportation and personal Millwright tools.
• Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays, when project demands require it.
• Spanish-speaking or bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and commission industrial machinery, tanks, and mechanical systems.
• Precisely level, align, and anchor equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform rigging operations to safely move, position, and secure heavy machinery and components.
• Interpret blueprints, layouts, and installation plans to ensure accurate equipment placement.
• Assist with mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.
• Support welding and fabrication activities related to equipment installation.
• Conduct inspections and final checks to verify operational readiness and proper alignment.
• Collaborate with fellow tradesmen, contractors, and project leaders to keep work on schedule.
• Work safely in an active industrial construction environment, including elevated work areas.
• Utilize personal tools and industry best practices to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
