Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Journeyman Millwright to install, repair, replace, and dismantle machinery and heavy equipment in industrial settings. This on-site role in Freeport, TX, requires strong blueprint reading, mechanical troubleshooting, and the ability to work safely with hoists and power tools.

Minimum 5 years of journeyman experience is required; NCCER certification is preferred but not mandatory, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• NCCER Millwright certification preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts and adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Connect power unit to machines and test to evaluate mechanical operation.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools.
• Level bedplate and establish centerline using straightedge and transit.
• Dismantle machines and perform installation/maintenance as part of a team.
