Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Millwright NCCER to install, repair, replace and dismantle heavy equipment in industrial settings. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of journeyman experience and a valid driver’s license. NCCER is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirement.
• Minimum 5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• NCCER preferred (Not required) and Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Connect power units to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment using blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Level bedplates and establish centerlines using straightedge, levels, and transit.
• Dismantle machines and equipment for shipment to installation site.
