Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Millwright to install, repair, replace and dismantle heavy machinery at our Freeport, TX site. You will align machines, connect power units, test performance, and assemble equipment using hand and power tools.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years as a Journeyman Millwright, NCCER certification preferred, and a valid driver's license. The role is on-site with safety and productivity as top priorities, with duties performed in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• NCCER Millwright certification preferred (Not required).
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts of machines or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate mechanical operation.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines using blueprints and schematics.
