Job summary

Klover Prefab is seeking a Structural Fabrication Welder III to independently weld exterior and interior wall panels for commercial buildings and mentor junior welders. The role emphasizes precision per shop drawings and adherence to safety standards.

The position offers a Monday–Thursday schedule (3:30 PM–2:00 AM) with a pay rate of $26–$30/hour plus a $2.00/hour shift differential. AWS D1.1 certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 10+ years MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Trade school/vocational education in construction/carpentry is a plus.
• Current AWS D1.1 GMAW and/or SMAW certifications and ability to recertify.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings.
• Gather and collect materials.
• Determine welding method based on specs and drawings.
• Measure and cut materials.
• Perform panel layout per drawings.
• Pre-assemble panel components for welding.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.
• Mentor Welder I and Welder II as assigned.
• Attend safety training as required.
• Maintain welding certification logs.
