Job summary

BP is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to support a growing Permian Midstream organization, including oil/gas processing, saltwater disposal, and pipelines. You will provide daily engineering support to the operations team, lead risk assessments, and manage small projects while coordinating with EPC contractors.

You will spend about 25% of time in the field, driving Root Cause Failure Analyses and risk mitigation, and ensuring safe handover of reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering; Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in oil and gas or related industry including large processing facilities and pipelines.
• Ability to travel ~25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily engineering support to operations and field teams.
• Lead risk assessments, Management of Change, and design reviews.
• Manage EPC contractors and oversee project execution.
• Support safe handover of compliant, reliable midstream equipment and systems.
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis and continuous improvements.
• Promote safe, efficient operations through discipline and documentation control.
