Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Specialist to join the Middle Office team in Lake Mary, FL, with an in-office requirement of four days per week. You will oversee quality control of middle-office processing, supervise junior staff, and resolve complex transactions and reconciliations while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 5-7 years of total relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience in middle office operations, trade support, reconciliations or related financial services functions preferred.
• Experience analyzing and resolving complex transactions, reconciliation breaks, trade fails, or similar operational issues preferred.
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and responding to complex client inquiries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control of processing, work allocation and workflow of a Middle Office team and outsourced functions.
• Review and approve work conducted by junior levels in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Perform analysis and research on complex transactions and identify solutions to complex inquiries.
• Serve as SME and conduct research to gather information on complex, multi-faceted transactions and provide answers to escalated inquiries.
• Maintain trade static data, trade enrichment, and trade exception handling and market claims; manage reconciliations analysis (cash, asset, trade matching, and market value).
• Participate in monthly end-client statement workflow, ad hoc reporting, and incident management as needed.
• Identify and escalate issues affecting accuracy of IBOR within the team; provide guidance to less experienced members.
