Job summary

First Citizens Bank in Atlanta seeks a Senior Underwriter Manager to lead middle market underwriting and portfolio management. You will coordinate the underwriting process from initial client discussions through closing, including structuring, term sheets, and loan documentation.

Responsibilities include overseeing post-closing modifications and portfolio monitoring, advising senior management on risk and opportunities, and leading a team to meet department goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years in Credit analysis, underwriting or Risk Management; or High School Diploma with 12+ years in the same fields.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s in Business, Finance or Economics.

Responsibilities

• Run/coordinate the underwriting process from initial client discussions to closing, including deal vetting, structuring, term sheet, and loan doc negotiations.
• Interface with Borrowers, Agent Banks, and Third Party Intermediaries; participate in credit approval meetings.
• Oversee post-closing loan modifications, extensions and portfolio monitoring; advise on risk and opportunities to improve shareholder value.
