Job summary

Citizens Bank in Atlanta seeks a Business Banking Operations Underwriter PM III to assess and underwrite loan requests up to TCL $10MM, applying credit policy and sound financial analysis. You will collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit Product Managers, and Credit Officers to structure deals and mitigate risk.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial lending, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to mentor junior team members while maintaining SLA production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in commercial lending, credit structuring and risk monitoring.
• Strong in credit policy adherence and documentation.
• Ability to analyze financials and collateral structures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan structures with RMs and CPMs to meet client needs while maintaining Citizens’ credit risk profiles.
• Protect and preserve Citizens’ risk appetite; assess and manage risk.
• Ensure compliance with commercial credit policy and risk criteria.
• Maintain high quality credit file documentation in a paperless environment.
• Apply credit skills, product knowledge, and industry analysis to assess risk.
• Understand various loan terms, structures, and conditions.
• Mentor junior colleagues and build cross-team relationships.
• Make recommendations to Credit Officers around credit decisions.
• Develop understanding of cross-sell services and portfolio benefits.
