Job summary

Truist seeks an experienced bank professional to identify, solicit, develop, manage, service, retain and grow long-term middle market relationships in the assigned region, offering a full range of loan, deposit, Capital Markets, Treasury and risk management services to clients with substantial annual sales. You will leverage Industry & Advisory teams to optimize the client experience.

Travel is required (3–4 days per week) to support client meetings and business development, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Ten or more years of experience in commercial banking.
• Strong interpersonal communications; can handle client relationships with borrowing clients with total debt of $10,000,000 or more.
• Highly skilled in corporate finance, Capital Markets, Treasury, and non-credit services.
• Ability to grasp complex credits clearly; insightful in all aspects of finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Regular travel (approximately 3-4 days per week) to support client meetings and business development.

Responsibilities

• Leverage the Truist Sales Process, Financial Insights, Industry & Advisory team, and Leadership Institute to deliver a differentiated client experience.
• Develop and execute a marketing plan focused on winning new client relationships and expanding existing ones.
• Understand and contribute to the credit decisioning process, including analysis of financial statements and underwriting requirements.
• Proactively contact clients to develop middle market banking relationships using Integrated Relationship Management principles.
• Champion non-credit financial services activity to drive fee-based revenue opportunities.
• Maintain proficiency in finance and manage large and complex corporate relationships; knowledge of loan syndications and capital markets solutions.
• Execute on all risk, operational, policy and quality expectations related to the client portfolio.
