Job summary

Pacsun is seeking a Senior MicroStrategy & AI Analytics Developer to design, build, and optimize the enterprise MicroStrategy environment with AI extensions. You will own dashboards, reports, and dossiers supporting merchandising, retail operations, and customer experience decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in MicroStrategy development, strong SQL skills, Snowflake experience, and familiarity with AI governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Data Analytics or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on MicroStrategy development experience.
• Experience applying AI or generative AI within BI/analytics.
• Strong SQL skills and Snowflake experience.
• Retail industry experience required.
• Familiarity with AI governance and data privacy in analytics.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy schema objects, reports, dossiers, and dashboards.
• Build the MicroStrategy semantic layer, cubes, and metadata architecture for self-service analytics.
• Integrate AI capabilities including NLQ, narratives, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with data science and AI Analytics leadership to support AI/ML use cases and pipelines.
• Write and optimize SQL against Snowflake and manage ETL/ELT and OLAP processes.
• Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate report development and documentation.
• Engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable analytics.
• Ensure data governance, security, and responsible AI practices across reporting.
• Troubleshoot data, performance, and reporting issues within MicroStrategy environment.
• Create technical documentation and mentor junior BI developers.
• Stay updated on MicroStrategy updates and AI trends.
