Job summary

TheCorporate LLC is seeking a skilled MicroStrategy Developer for a long-term contract in Media, PA. The role is onsite Monday-Thursday with remote Fridays, and local candidates will be preferred.

You will collaborate with business analytics and data engineering teams to design and deliver scalable BI solutions, optimize SQL queries, and maintain MicroStrategy assets including dossiers, reports, dashboards, and metadata.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of hands-on MicroStrategy development experience.
• Strong MicroStrategy Dossiers/Reports/Dashboards experience.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL/Snowflake/Teradata.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Ability to gather requirements and work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain MicroStrategy assets including Dossiers, Reports, Dashboards, Documents, metrics, filters, prompts, and related BI assets.
• Develop and maintain MicroStrategy metadata, schema objects, attributes, facts, hierarchies, and semantic layers.
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries and data structures.
• Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Troubleshoot MicroStrategy, data, and performance issues across environments.
• Provide testing support, deployment validation, and production support.
• Create technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Analyze reporting requirements and data dependencies.

This individual will work closely with business, analytics, and data engineering teams to understand reporting needs and deliver scalable, production-ready business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on MicroStrategy development experience, advanced SQL skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain MicroStrategy Dossiers, Reports, Dashboards, Documents, metrics, filters, prompts, and related BI assets.

• Troubleshoot MicroStrategy, data, and performance issues across development, testing, and production environments.


• Support testing, defect resolution, deployment validation, and production support activities.

• Analyze reporting requirements, identify data dependencies, and recommend appropriate technical approaches.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.


• 5 years of hands‑on MicroStrategy development experience.


• Strong experience developing MicroStrategy Dossiers, Reports, Dashboards, Documents, metrics, filters, and prompts.


• Experience with MicroStrategy schema design, metadata management, and troubleshooting.


• Advanced SQL skills with experience writing, tuning, and troubleshooting complex queries against large datasets.


• Experience with relational or cloud data platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Teradata, or similar technologies.


• Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts, including star and snowflake schemas, facts, dimensions, and aggregate structures.


• Ability to gather and analyze requirements, identify data dependencies, and clarify technical assumptions.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.


• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.


• Prior consulting or contract experience.


• Experience supporting production analytics and business intelligence environments.


• Ability to ramp up quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
