Job summary

ARES Corporation is seeking a Multimedia Systems Engineer in Houston to design, install, and certify Microsoft Teams Rooms appliances in NASA-secured collaboration spaces. You will manage multiple concurrent projects, perform technical analyses for hardware upgrades, and contribute to lifecycle planning and standard changes.

Strong leadership, documentation, and travel to client sites are required. Required are a BA/BS with 8–12 years of related experience and a current Microsoft Teams Rooms

Qualifications

• Requires minimum BA/BS and 8-12 years of related experience as well as a relevant certification for engineering Microsoft Collaboration Systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Current Microsoft Teams Rooms certification, kept current as the MTR device list changes.
• Experience supporting NASA, aerospace, DoD, or other large federal technical environments.
• Experience designing, installing, and configuring certified appliance-based Microsoft Teams Rooms systems.
• Engineer a room as a complete audio/video system including sizing, coverage, and signal flow.
• Experience with installation verification and acceptance testing, including camera framing and noise rejection.
• Experience with network configuration and device enrollment in line with Agency Security Standards.
• Ability to write engineering documentation and end-user training materials in a versioned repository.

Responsibilities

• Design, install and configure Microsoft Teams Rooms certified, appliance-based systems.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide daily/weekly project reporting.
• Provide technical analysis for new hardware systems, upgrades, risk assessments, and implementation plans.
• Participate in standards maintenance and comment on NASA standards changes and hardware evaluation.
• Stay current on industry trends related to collaboration space solutions.
• Review and evaluate non-standard room approaches to maximize usability.
• Analyze complex systems, identify gaps, and develop solutions.
• Draft engineering plans, analyses, workflows, and cost estimations.
• Support and guide facility-related systems considerations.
• Facilitate engineering activities and meetings with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel for on-site installations, surveys, and visits.
• Maintain Microsoft Teams Rooms certifications.
