Qualifications

• Deep experience with Microsoft Security and Compliance ecosystem including Purview, DLP, Records Management, Defender Suite and Sentinel.
• Strong data security concepts: DLP, data classification, labeling, insider risk and information governance.
• Experience advising on Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness, including data exposure risks and governance controls.
• Knowledge of IAM: Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance.
• Ability to communicate solutions to technical and business stakeholders; strong documentation skills.
• 5+ years in Microsoft cloud security and compliance consulting; relevant MS certifications preferred.
• Experience supporting State and Local Government or regulated industries; familiarity with data lifecycle and PAM/PIM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical lead on engagements involving Microsoft security, compliance, and data protection.
• Design and implement data security, governance, and compliance strategies with Microsoft 365/Azure.
• Advise clients on secure Copilot adoption, governance controls, and data exposure risks.
• Architect and deploy solutions using Purview, Defender, and Sentinel.
• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable technical solutions and controls.
• Lead data discovery, classification, and protection strategy design.
• Collaborate with project managers to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
• Contribute to pre‑sales, solution design, scoping, and effort estimates.
• Create technical docs, implementation guides, and client trainings.
• Mentor engineers and develop repeatable data security offerings.
• Stay current on evolving Microsoft security, compliance, and AI governance capabilities.
