Job summary

Excelsior is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 & SharePoint Engineer to design, implement, and govern a complex Microsoft 365 platform across SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and related services. You will lead architecture, security controls, and governance while mentoring IT staff and delivering user enablement within a hybrid, enterprise environment.

The role reports to the Sr. Director Infrastructure and emphasizes platform engineering, operational excellence, and modernization of business

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, IS, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
5+ years administering Microsoft 365 in enterprise environments.
3+ years of SharePoint Online admin and solution development.
Experience with Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
Experience implementing governance and security controls.
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture and cloud services.
Expertise in SharePoint Online administration and information architecture.
Experience designing enterprise collaboration and document management solutions.
Knowledge of identity management, authentication, and access control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Administer Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
Manage conditional access, privileged access, RBAC, MFA, access reviews, licensing, policies, and service health.
Monitor availability, security, performance, updates and issues across Microsoft 365.
Design and maintain SharePoint Online sites, intranet IA, taxonomy, metadata, and governance standards.
Build document management, collaboration, and migration solutions with business units.
Establish Teams lifecycle, guest access, external sharing, retention practices.
Create dashboards, reports, templates, workflows, and automation to reduce manual work.
Implement Purview, retention, DLP, sensitivity labels, data governance policies.
Support identity governance, least-privilege access, audits, compliance, and governance standards.
Serve as senior escalation point for M365, SharePoint, and Teams issues.
Mentor IT staff, deliver docs, training, and workshops.
Maintain architecture diagrams, DR and BC plans.
