Job summary

National Grid in the United States is seeking a Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer to lead strategy and delivery across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Power Platform within the Digital Workplace Services team.

Location options include Waltham, MA or hybrid roles across NY/MA with remote work possible. You will partner with IT, architects, vendors, and operations to modernize the platform, ensure security, and deliver an excellent end-user experience.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience supporting or engineering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
Experience with SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Power Platform or automation capabilities.
Proficiency with PowerShell, API integration, or platform automation technologies.
Experience with GitHub, version control, automation pipelines, testing, and change management.
Experience working in Agile or product‑oriented delivery models.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and technical leadership for Microsoft 365 Content, Collaboration, and Productivity.
Design, engineering, and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 services within Content and Collaboration.
Drive platform roadmaps balancing business needs, debt reduction, security, and scalability.
Partner with Architecture, Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Security, Operations, and delivery teams to ensure a secure, reliable end-user experience.
Develop automation using Graph, Power Platform, scripting, and APIs to improve efficiency.
Support incident management and governance, and promote Microsoft 365 adoption.
