Job summary

Aurora Health Care seeks a senior identity and collaboration engineer to design, implement, and manage identity services in a hybrid enterprise environment. You will oversee AD, Azure AD Entra ID, and M365 workloads, including COPilot integration and security controls.

Responsibilities include migrations, troubleshooting, platform health monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration with IT and security teams to ensure compliance and tenant readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of five years of IT experience with extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server, Group Policy and related technologies.
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell for automation.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts (authentication, authorization, conditional access).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Configure Copilot across Microsoft 365 applications.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and tenant readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Active Directory domains, user accounts, group policies, and related identity services in a hybrid enterprise environment.
• Architect, deploy, and manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including hybrid identity scenarios, federation, conditional access, and integration with on‑premises Active Directory.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Own identity, permissions, licensing, and access controls across the Microsoft ecosystem, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Lead planning and execution of migrations from legacy systems to Microsoft 365, including tenant configuration, data migration, and deployment of new services and features.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex identity and collaboration issues; proactively monitor platform health and implement performance and reliability improvements.
• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve security controls related to identity, access, data protection, and collaboration services.
• Ensure Microsoft environments meet regulatory, privacy, and organizational compliance requirements, partnering with security and compliance teams as needed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams and business stakeholders to support enterprise collaboration initiatives and shared objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures; provide guidance and mentorship to associate‑and‑mid‑level engineers.
