Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Architect to lead enterprise-level management of the M365 suite in a DoD-related program. You will provide thought leadership, hands-on support, and direction to engineering staff for ongoing administration of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related services.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 4 years with a Master’s degree.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office 365 including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
• Proficiency in user and group management, license assignment, security settings, and service health monitoring.
• Experience in Identity Management, including Azure Active Directory integration, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
• Experience with Defender & Purview, including security best practices, data encryption, DLP, and eDiscovery.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents).
• Proficiency in automation and scripting with PowerShell for Office 365 administration.
• Experience with Intune for managing and securing mobile devices and applications.
• Candidates must hold active Public Trust or higher level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
• Handle tenant administration tasks including user/group management, license assignment, security settings, and service health monitoring.
• Facilitate deployment of M365 Copilot and pilot management leading to broader deployment.
• Lead communications regarding updates and enhancements to Office 365 services.
• Manage Microsoft Purview to enhance data governance and compliance, including setting up DLP policies and sensitivity labels.
• Ensure smooth integration of Office 365 with Azure Active Directory, directory synchronization, and MFA enforcement.
• Implement and enforce security best practices within Office 365 environments, including data encryption.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate administrative tasks and manage Office 365 services.
• Support developers and users in the usage of Power Platform components including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.
• Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Intune for cloud-based mobile device and application management.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and diagrams.
