A leading global financial technology organization is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Architect to own and evolve its enterprise collaboration, messaging, identity, and endpoint ecosystem. Supporting a large global workforce, this role is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating a highly available Microsoft 365 environment that is considered mission critical infrastructure.

About the Role

This position offers significant architectural ownership, allowing you to lead design decisions, drive modernization initiatives, build automation solutions, and improve platform reliability through observability and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and ongoing evolution of the Microsoft 365 platform, including collaboration services, messaging, identity, access management, and mobile device management
• Drive platform modernization initiatives by simplifying legacy environments, reducing hybrid complexity, and implementing scalable cloud first solutions
• Manage and optimize SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, and Azure services while establishing governance, security, lifecycle management, and best practices
• Design and maintain enterprise automation, monitoring, alerting, and self healing solutions that improve operational reliability and efficiency
• Support day to day platform operations, incident management, change execution, and continuous service improvement across a global environment
• Collaborate with senior technical teams to deliver large scale projects from architecture and planning through implementation, rollout, and long term support

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting, engineering, or architecting enterprise Microsoft 365 environments
• Deep expertise with SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, RBAC, enterprise applications, and identity management
• Strong experience designing and supporting hybrid Microsoft environments and leading cloud transformation initiatives
• Advanced PowerShell skills and experience with Microsoft Graph, Azure CLI, Terraform, GitHub, and infrastructure as code practices
• Hands on experience with Azure services including subscriptions, policies, networking, storage, monitoring, and automation
• Experience managing Intune and mobile device management solutions across iOS and Android environments
• Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, logging, and analytics tools including Log Analytics and KQL
• Proven ability to lead architectural discussions, influence technical decisions, and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
• Experience delivering complex global projects independently from planning through implementation and ongoing operational ownership

Preferred Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365, Azure, or cloud architecture
• Experience working in large scale enterprise environments with extensive Microsoft platform adoption
• Background in consulting, architecture, enterprise engineering, or large transformation programs
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview, compliance technologies, workflow automation platforms, or AI and Copilot solutions
• Experience supporting highly available, mission critical production environments where reliability and uptime are essential
