Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a seasoned Microservices Architect to lead design and evolution of large-scale microservices on cloud-native stacks. This remote role emphasizes service decomposition, domain-driven design, and scalable architecture across multiple teams.

Responsibilities include defining boundaries, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring robust observability, security, and performance in production-scale environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with several years in architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in microservices design, domain-driven design, and distributed systems patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and service mesh technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define microservices architecture standards, service boundaries, and decomposition strategies (DDD).
• Lead modernization of legacy monoliths into independently deployable services.
• Design service communication patterns using REST, gRPC, async messaging, and events.
• Establish API contracts, schema governance, and versioning for safe evolution.
• Architect resilient distributed systems with circuit breakers, retries, and bulkheads.
• Define data ownership models and patterns like outbox, saga, and CQRS.
• Lead design of platform capabilities: service mesh, API gateway, identity propagation, observability.
• Drive performance engineering, capacity planning, and scalability analyses.
• Establish CI/CD, testing, and deployment standards for high-frequency releases.
• Define observability standards: logging, tracing, and SLO-driven monitoring.
• Collaborate with security for zero-trust and secrets management.
• Mentor engineers and tech leads on microservices best practices.
• Lead architecture reviews across teams.
