Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a seasoned Service-Oriented Architect to lead the design and evolution of large-scale microservices on modern container platforms. This role emphasizes domain-driven design, distributed data management, and robust security, observability, and performance at scale.

You will define service boundaries, modernize monoliths, govern APIs, and mentor teams while aligning with zero-trust security and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Eight+ years of software engineering experience with architecture exposure.
• Deep expertise in microservices, domain-driven design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on Kubernetes, container orchestration, and service mesh experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or C# and API design with asynchronous messaging.
• Experience in production-grade, latency-sensitive, high-traffic systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and solid communication skills.
• Ability to lead architecture initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define microservices architecture standards and boundaries aligned with DDD.
• Modernize legacy monoliths into independently deployable services.
• Design service communication patterns using REST, gRPC, and messaging.
• Establish API contracts, governance, and versioning for safe evolution.
• Architect resilient distributed systems with circuit breakers and retries.
• Define data ownership, transactional boundaries, and patterns like outbox/Saga.
• Lead platform capabilities including service mesh, API gateway, and observability.
• Drive CI/CD, testing, and deployment standards for high-frequency releases.
• Define observability standards with logging and distributed tracing.
• Collaborate with security teams on zero-trust, secrets, and runtime protection.
• Mentor engineers on best practices and lead architecture reviews.
