Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an API Solutions Architect to lead the design and evolution of large-scale microservices on modern cloud-native stacks. You will drive service decomposition, domain-driven design, and distributed data management with a focus on resilience, observability, and security at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Eight or more years of software engineering experience, with several years in architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in microservices design, domain-driven design, and distributed systems patterns.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and service mesh technologies.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, or C#.
• Strong understanding of API design, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous messaging.
• Experience operating high-traffic, latency-sensitive systems in production.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and managed services across at least one major provider.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead architecture initiatives spanning multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Define microservices architecture standards and service boundaries.
• Modernize legacy monoliths into well-bounded, independently deployable services.
• Design API contracts, governance, and versioning for safe evolution.
• Architect resilient distributed systems with circuit breakers and graceful degradation.
• Define data ownership models and patterns like outbox, saga, and CQRS.
• Lead platform capabilities: service mesh, API gateway, identity propagation, observability.
• Drive performance, capacity planning, and scalability analyses across services.
• Establish CI/CD, testing, and deployment standards for frequent releases.
• Define observability standards including logging and tracing.
• Collaborate with security for zero-trust and runtime protection.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices across teams.
• Lead architecture reviews and evaluate new cloud-native technologies.
