Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Microscopy, or related field with >3 years of microscopy/characterization experience.
• Ability to prepare samples, run experiments, generate reliable data, and interpret results with rigor.
• Strong data analysis and problem‑solving skills linking structure to performance.
• Ability to manage work independently, prioritize requests, and adapt to project needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative across R&D, service, engineering, manufacturing and business teams.
• Commitment to safe, well‑documented lab work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze pigments, fluoropolymers, coatings, films, powders and dispersions by microscopy and related methods.
• Plan and execute microscopy studies to evaluate morphology, dispersion, phase structure and defects.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot microscopy equipment.
• Develop sample prep and imaging methods to improve data quality and relevance.
• Analyze and summarize imaging data to relate structure to performance across products.
• Collaborate with scientists, service teams, manufacturing and business partners on development and troubleshooting.
• Communicate findings through reports and visual summaries for technical audiences.
• Contribute to safe, compliant laboratory operations and workflows.
