Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions seeks an Advanced Microfabrication Technology Engineer to evaluate, develop, and optimize microfabrication processes for high-precision interconnect components. You will lead lab and pilot-scale experiments to prototype emerging technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design needs into manufacturable solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in microfabrication, proficiency with Creo/SolidWorks/NX and data analysis tools, plus strong

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Materials/Engineering or related field.
5+ years of microfabrication/microscale manufacturing experience preferred.
Hands-on with multiple microfabrication methods (lithography, laser micromachining, micro-EDM, stamping).
Experience developing/qualifying processes for very small components (tolerance, fixturing).
Experience with micro-assembly techniques (laser welding, micro-soldering, adhesives).
Strong data analysis and DOE/capability studies skills; familiarity with metrology.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, develop, and optimize microfabrication processes for high-precision components.
Lead lab and pilot-scale experiments to prototype microfabrication technologies.
Develop and qualify micro-assembly processes including fixturing and alignment strategies.
Define DOE plans and process maps to ensure repeatable manufacturing outcomes.
Support metrology and characterization; correlate feature quality to performance.
Translate R&D learning into scalable production processes with suppliers.
