Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in materials development or advanced manufacturing, with polymers and metals.
• Experience with material selection, processing, characterization and performance evaluation.
• Knowledge of plastics and metals manufacturing processes (injection molding, plating, coatings).
• Experience with Creo, SolidWorks, or NX; Moldflow or similar polymer flow software.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, MATLAB, Minitab, Origin.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to translate findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and implement advanced materials and processes for interconnect technologies.
• Assess new materials and processes to support technology roadmap.
• Conduct lab and pilot-scale experiments to prototype and validate technologies.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for material issues.
• Support material characterization, reliability testing, and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate findings into manufacturable solutions.
• Document findings and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support technology transfer and scale-up to manufacturing.
• Assist with design validation using flow simulations.
