Job summary

Keysight Technologies is seeking a subject matter expert and technical lead for microcircuit assembly processes—epoxy dispensing, gold-gold thermosonic bonding, wire/ball bonding, and related steps—providing technical direction across R&D, Manufacturing and Quality.

In NPI programs, you will represent process engineering in design reviews and cross-functional forums, lead DFM reviews and risk assessments, and influence product and package design decisions upstream.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant engineering field with extensive microelectronics experience.
• 8+ years hands-on experience in microelectronics and semiconductor packaging.
• Experience leading process development projects and NPI programs.
• Hands-on depth in epoxy dispensing, wire bonding, ball bonding, gold stud bump and flip chip bonding, automatic placement, silver sintering, or soldering.
• Proven DOE, statistical analysis and root cause methodologies.
• Experience with DFM reviews and formal risk assessments (FMEA).
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work on lab and production floor.
• ITAR clearance (U.S. person) required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME and technical lead for microcircuit assembly processes across R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality.
• Act as the process team's technical lead on New Product Introduction programs.
• Lead DFMs and risk assessments for new products and process changes.
• Influence product and package design decisions upstream by advising on manufacturability and constraints.
• Make strategic technical decisions affecting build schedule, capacity, and readiness.
• Own end-to-end process development projects from scope to qualified production-ready processes.
• Own qualification of new equipment, materials, and processes; drive yield and efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to the department's technology roadmap and mentor junior engineers.
