The ideal candidate will have 3–4+ years of MT/MLT experience, a relevant BS degree, and active certification (ASCP MLS, AMT, or HEW). This is a 1st shift, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology, Biological Science, Chemistry, or Physical Science (or military equivalent with official transcripts).
• ASCP (MLS), AMT, or HEW certification required.
• 3–4+ years of hands-on microbiology experience as an MT or MLT.
• Comfortable working without automated identification systems like MALDI.

Responsibilities

• Perform, analyze, and interpret manual and automated microbiology testing across all specimen types, distinguishing pathogens from normal flora.
• Maintain rigorous quality control, instrument calibration, and adherence to CAP, state, and federal standards.
• Perform antimicrobial sensitivity testing and act as a resource for physicians and nursing staff regarding test results.
• Help process specimens, assist with training, and participate in departmental projects or product evaluations.
