The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. or MSc in Microbiology or related fields, with 5+ years of industrial experience and a strong background in fermentation science, metabolic engineering, and DOE-driven data analysis.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MSc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in industrial microbial fermentation process development.
• Strong understanding of microbial physiology, metabolism, and genetics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize microbial fermentation processes for target compounds.
• Conduct strain selection, media optimization, and parameter control.
• Scale-up from lab to pilot scale and monitor performance with analytics.
• Troubleshoot issues and improve process robustness and yield.
• Collaborate with downstream teams for integrated processing.
• Document experiments and mentor junior staff.
