Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an Engineering Support Solder Technician in Huntsville to rework and modify micro-sized components on CCAs and prototype sub-assemblies. You will perform micro-soldering under a microscope, wire harness repair, and component replacement per engineering drawings and instructions.

Responsibilities include verifying quality under a microscope, documenting work, and supporting engineering teams with fabrication and test activities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS with minimum 4 years relevant experience.
• Minimum 4 years of micro-soldering fine pitch SMT components.
• Verification/Inspection experience with standards, processes, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Micro-soldering under a microscope and quality verification.
• Repair and replace damaged wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
• Replace mechanical and electrical components as needed.
• Identify failures and isolate problems, recommend corrective actions.
• Work from verbal instructions to achieve outputs and meet schedules.
• Keep management informed of unresolved or potential issues affecting quality.
• Support Engineering development and other lab assignments as needed.
• Document all work for traceability and conformity.
