Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Service Technician II to perform maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on Material Handling Equipment and conveyors across customer sites. You will diagnose, repair, and program equipment using OEM software and manuals, while coordinating with site leaders to meet service timelines.

The role requires 2–4 years of mechanic experience, strong electrical/hydraulic skills, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or tech school graduate required.
• 2-4 years of mechanic experience; preferably with repair and maintenance of material handling equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, or similar equipment.
• ASE Certification preferred. Silver and/or Gold Certification preferred.
• Electrical journeyman certification preferred.
• Electrical and pneumatic experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of equipment.
• Proficiency using email, work order management software, and mobile applications for daily job functions
• Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics.
• Self-motivated, self-directed, highly responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Supply own mechanic technician hand tools.
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Schedule PM of all Fleet Services Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors; keep PM records updated.
• Perform corrective repairs and preventive maintenance on MHE, batteries, automated systems and conveyors.
• Maintain regular communication with site managers regarding equipment status and timelines.
• Meet or exceed performance metrics: service response times, first-time fix rates, PM completion schedules.
• Manage equipment condition and repair readiness; report damage and coordinate required parts.
• Communicate with Parts team on parts and supplies needed.
• Maintain parts inventory and repair records; complete paperwork accurately.
• Access OEM software for diagnostics, troubleshooting, and programming.
• Use OEM manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to diagnose issues and perform adjustments.
• Aim for 80% technician efficiency or 100% PM completion monthly.
• Conduct routine safety inspections per OSHA and company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe service area and support 5S methodology.
• Travel ~25% as needed.
