Job summary

Boeing Global Services seeks an experienced Senior Flight Simulator Instructor Pilot to lead training programs for MH-139A simulator operations at Maxwell AFB, AL. The role involves courseware development, classroom instruction, and liaison with flight test and sustainment teams.

Ideal candidates will have extensive USAF helicopter piloting hours, training-system instruction experience, and be able to obtain necessary DoD certifications.

Qualifications

• 800+ hours as a USAF Helicopter Pilot, other US military equivalent, or AW139 Pilot
• 100+ hours’ experience with training systems as an aircrew instructor
• Must be able to attain CCAF certification within 1 year of hire date
• Experience and ability to operate independently with senior levels of customer
• Ability to travel internationally 10% of the time

Responsibilities

• Provides technical oversight for all training and assessment of Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) activities
• Leads the design and development of aircrew training material to meet company, customer and regulatory requirements
• Oversees latest developments in training and technical ideas relevant to product platform(s) types
• Collaborates to improve and streamline processes and harmonize training methods and philosophies
• Determines requirements of aircrew competence evaluation criteria
• Oversee training plans to ensure company, customer and regulatory requirements for skill, knowledge, training and authorizations are maintained.
• Conducts training for customer pilots and ground-based simulator flight instructors
• Mentor trainees as necessary
• Reviews all technical training matters relevant to assigned product platform(s)
• Develop strategies and approaches to deliver trainee performance assessment
• Leads the design, development, and delivery of technical learning solutions for aircrews
• Assesses complex aircrew learning objectives and provides recommendations on course structure, content, and methodologies
• Develops and maintains learning solutions to accomplish aircrew training requirements
• Leads and instructs complex training courses using a variety of modalities, media, and training devices
• Plans, develops, and completes complex testing of training devices to validate functionality against expected operational and training outcomes
• Evaluates aircrew training effectiveness and customer feedbackThis position is for shifts as assigned
• Ability to work on-site 5 days per week
• May be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as needed
