Job summary

Boeing Global Services (BGS) seeks Flight Simulator Instructor Pilots to act as site leader at Maxwell AFB, AL, supporting MH-139A simulator requirements, courseware development, and classroom instruction.

The role involves oversight of CFI activities, development of aircrew training materials, testing, and liaison with flight test, sustainment and production. On-site work five days a week with potential travel and involvement in multiple programs.

Qualifications

• 800+ hours as a USAF Helicopter Pilot, other US military equivalent, or AW139 Pilot.
• 100+ hours’ experience with training systems as an aircrew instructor.
• Must be able to attain CC AF certification within 1 year of hire date.
• Experience and ability to operate independently with senior levels of customer.
• Ability to travel internationally 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical oversight for all training and assessment of Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) activities.
• Leads the design and development of aircrew training material to meet company, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Oversees latest developments in training and technical ideas relevant to product platform(s) types.
• Collaborates to improve and streamline processes and harmonize training methods and philosophies.
• Determines requirements of aircrew competence evaluation criteria.
• Oversee training plans to ensure company, customer and regulatory requirements for skill, knowledge, training and authorizations are maintained.
• Conducts training for customer pilots and ground-based simulator flight instructors.
• Mentor trainees as necessary.
• Reviews all technical training matters relevant to assigned product platform(s)
• Develop strategies and approaches to deliver trainee performance assessment.
• Leads the design, development, and delivery of technical learning solutions for aircrews.
• Assesses complex aircrew learning objectives and provides recommendations on course structure, content, and methodologies.
• Develops and maintains learning solutions to accomplish aircrew training requirements.
• Leads and instructs complex training courses using a variety of modalities, media, and training devices.
• Plans, develops, and completes complex testing of training devices to validate functionality against expected operational and training outcomes.
• Evaluates aircrew training effectiveness and customer feedback.
