You'll collaborate with some of the most dedicated professionals in the industry, helping to develop and implement innovative solutions. This is your chance to create a significant impact in a dynamic and ambitious environment!

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis and Requirements Management
  • Lead discovery sessions with business and functional collaborators to understand business objectives, operational requirements, challenges, dependencies, and desired outcomes.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and maintain business, functional, workflow, reporting, and system requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear requirements.
  • Develop business requirements documents, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and other supporting materials as appropriate.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and conflicting requirements and facilitate resolution across collaborator groups.
Process Analysis and Operational Enablement
  • Document and analyze current-state business processes and build scalable future-state processes.
  • Find opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate unnecessary manual work, improve controls, enhance data quality, and build consistency across programs.
  • Evaluate processes with consideration for underwriting efficiency, customer experience, employee experience, compliance, financial controls, and scalability.
  • Help establish common operating practices while recognizing legitimate differences in products, underwriting models, carrier requirements, and program structures.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to find opportunities for shared services, standardization, and improved operating models.
Application and Technology Enablement
  • Act as a link between business users and application development, configuration, integration, and support teams.
  • Assist with translating business requirements into application configuration, workflow, integration, and development requirements.
  • Participate in solution build discussions and help evaluate whether proposed solutions appropriately address the underlying business need.
  • Support enterprise application governance by helping document business rules, configuration decisions, dependencies, and change requirements.
  • Partner with application support teams to identify recurring business issues and distinguish between training, process, configuration, data, and technology needs.
Program Implementations and Integrations
  • Act as an essential Business Analyst resource for new program implementations, acquisitions, system conversions, and integration initiatives.
  • Lead or support discovery across functional areas.
  • Document products, coverages, markets, producers, rating requirements, policy lifecycle requirements, billing processes, reporting obligations, and other program-specific requirements.
  • Support data conversion activities by helping define business rules, mapping requirements, validation criteria, and reconciliation needs.
  • Partner with Implementation Management to support project planning, issue resolution, readiness assessments, and launch activities.
Testing, Implementation and Change Enablement
  • Develop or support test plans, test scenarios, encouraged results, and user acceptance testing.
  • Document defects, requirements gaps, and improvement opportunities and facilitate resolution with appropriate teams.
  • Support implementation readiness, including process documentation, procedures, training requirements, communications, and transition planning.
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews and find opportunities for continued improvement.
  • Partner with Training and Operations teams to ensure new processes and system functionality are effectively transitioned into business-as-usual operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in underwriting, business analysis, operations, process improvement, or a related field.
  • Experience working in commercial insurance, specialty insurance, MGA/MGU, program business, wholesale brokerage, or a similar insurance environment required.
  • Experience supporting technology implementations, application improvements, system conversions, or integration projects.
  • Experience with policy administration, workflow/document management, reporting, and insurance accounting systems required. Experience with the Vertafore suite of applications including IMS, ImageRight, AIM, and SureFyre are preferred.
