Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Metrology Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will perform precise inspections and tests on products to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and internal quality standards, collaborating with QA to maintain top quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in metrology, strong blueprint reading skills, and hands-on experience with CMMs, IQMS, and related equipment. A degree in engineering or manufacturing is preferred, with QA certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a Metrology Technician or similar role in manufacturing.
• Proficient with metrology equipment and software applications.
• Solid understanding of ISO 13485, metrology processes, and IQMS.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Track record of maintaining high-quality standards.
• Experience in training others on metrology techniques is a plus.
• Quality Control certification is a plus.
• Engineering, Manufacturing, or related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex inspection procedures across production stages.
• Operate metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMMs, vision systems).
• Interpret blueprints and data to determine inspection procedures.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure ISO 13485 compliance.
• Troubleshoot issues in the inspection process.
• Maintain accurate inspection records.
• Monitor quality metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide training on metrology techniques as needed.
• Assist in QA policy and procedure development.
• Utilize IQMS to track and document inspection results.
