Job summary

KBR Metrology is seeking a Sr Metrology Technician to coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies to meet schedules. You will establish completion dates, verify shipments, and maintain records while guiding junior staff and supporting customer coordination.

The role requires hands-on calibration, testing, and documentation in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Candidates should have a High School Diploma, 7 years of related experience, a U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7 years of directly related work experience.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Working knowledge of SAP or other tracking systems for receiving transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Back up to Lab Manager as needed.
• Assigns daily work assignments to junior technicians.
• Strong customer coordination for scheduling, calibrations.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot fault isolation, adjustment and repairs using TMDE lab standards.
• Perform calibrations and repairs on temperature, dimensional, mechanical, and electronic parameters.
• Develop calibration procedures and ensure documentation meets Quality Systems requirements.
• Perform complex configuration and tests of equipment as per instructions and drawings.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to other team members.
• Orient, train, assign and check the work of lower-level employees.
• Assist Laboratory Manager with daily operations, scheduling, and customer interactions.
• Prepare and maintain repair and maintenance records per regulations.
