Job summary

KBR Metrology team seeks a Metrology Technician II to perform routine calibrations, tests and inspections in-lab or on-site using accredited standards. You will handle day-to-day escalations, maintain traceability of laboratory standards, and work with automation.

Candidates should show fluency in advanced calibration, testing, and inspection procedures and have hands-on experience with calibration systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2+ years experience in the field, or an Associate's degree with 2 years experience.
• Formal military PMEL, TMDE or calibration school training is acceptable.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to client requirement.

Responsibilities

• Calibration and certifying electronic and physical/dimensional measuring and test equipment to NIST traceability.
• Perform calibrations and repairs on equipment as needed.
• Calibrate standards used in calibrations.
• Set up and use lab measuring, calibrating and test equipment with standard tools.
• Troubleshoot in collaboration with design modification functions in production/engineering liaison.
• Provide guidance on equipment operation to customers and operators.
• Write and review calibration/test/inspection procedures; assist customers to define technical requirements.
• Perform work safely and in compliance with HS&E requirements.
