Job summary

WD is seeking an Metro Engineering Technician to support wafer disposition and metrology tool setup across FIB, HTSEM, VSEM, AFM, KLA and Nano. This role assists production with flow and cycle time, including off-shift support for metro projects and issues.

Required are hands-on metrology tool experience, familiarity with manufacturing systems, and strong problem-solving. Associate degree or higher with 3+ years is preferred, with comprehensive benefits and salary range provided.

Qualifications

Solid problem-solving, troubleshooting and computer skills to address minor process/equipment issues.
Good communication skills and ability to quickly learn/apply new knowledge.
Experience with metrology tools and data systems is preferred.
3+ years hands-on metrology or semiconductor equipment experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Support Metro Engineering in wafer disposition and production flow.
Set up, modify and maintain metro recipes per instructions.
Support qualification/operation of metro tools (FIB, HTSEM, VSEM, AFM, KLA, Nano).
Identify and troubleshoot metro-related issues affecting output or quality.
Analyze defect data from metrology tools and take first-line actions.
Document and implement metro recipe improvements under guidance.
