Job summary

Wolfspeed is hiring a Staff Metrology Engineer in Marcy, NY to drive metrology improvements across production. You will work with CD-SEM, ellipsometry, XRF, XRD, SIMS, AFM and other platforms to analyze data, implement process changes, and collaborate with design teams.

The role requires 5+ years in semiconductor metrology, strong stats/DOE skills, and experience mentoring junior staff. on-site position with a focus on yield and cycle-time goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field.
• 5+ years of metrology engineering experience in a high-volume semiconductor FAB.
• Hands-on experience with specific metrology tools and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Represents recommendations and implements equipment and process changes to improve production efficiencies and yields.
• Performs data analysis and SPC review to identify trends and shifts.
• Develops DOE and SPC analyses to target root causes of yield loss and quality issues.
• Interacts with design and development to ensure compatibility of processes and designs.
• Mentors junior engineers and process technicians and documents issues to drive corrective actions.
