Wolfspeed, Inc. in the United States seeks a Metrology Engineer to advance production yields and process reliability in a high-volume semiconductor fab.
You will perform DOE/SPC analyses, MSAs and Gage R&R, collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability, and mentor junior staff while driving cross-functional problem solving.
Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Experience with Metrology tools such as CD-SEM, spectroscopic ellipsometry, XRF, XRD, SIMS, AFM, optical CD, capacitance-voltage (CV), hall measurements Routine data analysis and Statistical Process Chart (SPC) review to identify trends and shifts Establish relationships across various departments to drive cohesive learning and cross functional problem solving. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible. Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R, and tool to tool matching on a wide range of semiconductor measurement systems Report and document process issues and equipment malfunctions. Take corrective action and interact with Process Engineers & Equipment Maintenance to identify and resolve non-conformance process and equipment operations. Handle material dispositions and work to resolve any lot issues that may arise. Assist in creating new procedures and refining existing ones Work collaboratively to achieve quarterly set yield and cycle time goals. Work with and train junior engineers and process technicians
The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
Compensation Range: $81,000.00 - $111,000.00
