Neuralink seeks a Metrologist / Senior CMM Operator to own programming, fixturing, and reporting on our CMM fleet. You will lead the IQC workflow for purchased parts, provide first-article and in-process inspection for in-house parts, and train additional operators to scale this capability across the company.

This hands-on role collaborates with design, manufacturing, and supplier‑quality engineers, with up to 25% travel between Austin, TX and South San Francisco, CA sites.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years (mid) or 7+ years (senior) CMM experience in production or precision manufacturing.
• Strong programming skills in PC-DMIS, Calypso, PolyWorks, or Verisurf, with datum/alignments.
• Deep ASME Y14.5 GD&T knowledge for small, tight-tolerance parts.
• Experience reviewing AS9102 / PPAP-style first-article docs and NCRs.
• Fixture design sense and ability to build fixtures or adjust alignments.
• Clear written and verbal communication with engineers and leadership.
• High ownership and bias to action for measurement integrity.

Aufgaben

• Own CMM programming, fixturing, calibration, and measurement uncertainty.
• Build IQC workflow for purchased parts and first-article verification.
• Perform first-article and in-process inspection on machined parts.
• Create defensible datum schemes and robust measurement routines.
• Generate clean inspection reports feeding design reviews and supplier scorecards.
• Develop and maintain operator training curriculum and certifications.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on tolerance stack-ups and fixture design.
• Maintain calibration, traceability, and gage R&R; support ISO/FDA readiness.
