Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or related field required.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience required.
• Specialized knowledge of metallurgical principles, standards, methods and practices.
• Experience with metallurgy production equipment and melt shop processes.
• Understanding of statistics, six sigma and BPI practices.
• Ability to lead and mentor peers on key projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration with shop floor and customers.

Aufgaben

• Make disposition decisions on referred, non-conforming, and off-standard material.
• Apply statistical methods to solve problems and design experiments.
• Review melt records for quality and ensure procedure adherence.
• Support process optimization and reduction of variation in melts.
• Improve yield, productivity and cost reductions in melt operations.
• Evaluate new raw materials and refractory sources; participate in customer issue resolution.
• Collaborate with operations, R&D, purchasing, and quality teams; assist during audits.
